Error Message "Logical Disk Manager"
I have recently bought a new hard disk and i am trying to partition a new drive in Windows 2003.During this Period i am getting an error message as "Logical Disk Manager: The format did not complete successfully".Can any one provide me with a good solution.

Ensure that your pc is virus/worm/trojan free then run SFC /SCANNOW to reinstall system files which may be corrupt.If it is not hope it will work for you.

I am sure my PC is Virus free.Because i am having a License copy of it.

I was also facing the same issue i tried to follow the below steps it worked for me hope it will work for you too.
Try again to assign the drive letter to the new partition or Try again to format the new partition.
Perform Both the steps if needed.
Before doing this it's very important to stop Remote Storage.Following are the steps to Stop remote Storage.
- Click Start, select to Programs, go to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.
- In the right pane, right-click Remote Storage Server, and then click Stop.
- Close the Services dialog box.
