Wine and Office 2007: Compatible?
Hello to you, here I expose my problem:
I soon install wine on my Ubuntu 7.10 to install Microsoft Office 2007. ISO.
After you mount the image with "G-mount iso" I run the SETUP.EXE successfully with wine.
Then after reading my image Wine me point out that the image was interrupted! (While on the XP image is in good condition)
So at first: Does Wine can run Office 2007?
OR: Does ISO format makes use of Wine impossible?
Thank you for your responses.
Re: Wine and Office 2007: Compatible?
Hi,
For fun I am amused to quickly install the Office 2003 suite with wine ... and my amazement ... How it works ^ ^
Apart from excel still planted on the logo .. but I am therefore not need crazy .. the rest works well. This is very useful when I convert my documents open office doc for those who have not Ooo ...
I'm in and I use the hardy 1.0 RC version of wine, which was released recently. If it is not updated look directly from the site, ubuntu is a bit late for the latest versions ... 2007 and if not, try 2003.
Re: Wine and Office 2007: Compatible?
Thanks for the reply
So of course you're right "The Unicorn", why not use OpenOffice? I use it for work (and I am alone in my Linux box) and it is also perfommant as Office 2003, but I must admit that Office 2007 is more ergonomic and perfommant (Excel and Power Point are greatly improved ).
Here is my reason for wanting to use Office 2007 without having to reboot on my XP partition.
So what to do, I go to the Ubuntu forum and they treated me pirate while ISO is in the family circle!
So I based the questions:
So at first: Does Wine can run Office 2007?
OR: Does ISO format makes use of Wine impossible?
Thank you
