sound does not work anymore

Hello everybody,
Here is my problem, I have a Dell D620 and I just reinstalled windows XP. The problem now are the sounds that no longer works, I tried to install the drivers who are on the CD, however, and I do not know why the installation does not end.. Even after downloading the driver on the Dell site!

I have some knowledge in information technology but I dont know about this problem. If someone would have a solution it would be great. Thank you

Was it working fine before formatting your pc? Do you get any error message?
