Can't open a new Word Doc - can't understand prompts.

Hello to all! Recently uninstalled a number of old/unused programs. Discovered shortly after that I couldn't open a new Word Doc. Did System Restore to a date a few days earlier to undo changes and bring everything back. All came back except can't open a new word doc now.

Resulting prompts: (1) install error - file not found - SKU112.CAB
and (2) Run Setup/Select Repair (MS Office Word 11.0)

What happened??? I do not have the original install disc that came with computer because I wasn't smart enough to not misplace the silly thing.

All help and support appreciated.
