Format a 1gb sd card

Can anyone explain me how to format a 1GB SD Card in Windows Vista? Thanks for any help

why format?
Simply delete the files on it.

Well the thing is that, I just bought a new sd card for my digital camera and when I put it inside in the camera it ask me to format the card before using it. After doing all the formatting thing, it still remains the same without of any use. I think that I need to replace this new card that I have bought.

Strange, with my SD card I have no such problem. I put in the camera and it works.
You can replace it cause you say it was newly bought.
