Re: Overclocking AMD 3200+
Looks normal so there, the speed run in the memories? 2200 is really nice clock. It tends to go to take on a whole lot to the problem usually is that when you pop on the FSB as increases memory speed at the same time, so it may reduce the speed of memories, so you can get more FSB without memories will stop.
Re: Overclocking AMD 3200+
Thanks for the reply. I'll run with Corsair Value S PC3200 DDR DIMM Kit 1024.
Re: Overclocking AMD 3200+
looks good. I have been clocking 939's for a while now and what you have done is about the best you will get. What mobo is it on?
Also , I would watch the heat on the cpu as it will go up doing this.
Make sure you have good cooling and all should be good. Also, if you are running a 32 bit os, 3.25 gb of ram is all you can use no matter how much you put in the board.I have an Athlon 64 x2 4800 oc'd and 2 gb of ram seems to be the sweet spot. Have run 3 gb but didn't see much speed increase.
Go Corsair xms or higher- value select ram from them will give you a hard time to oc , if at all. I have try'd it- didn't work well. I use XMS and have had much better luck.
A good mobo is a must for gaining anymore from your cpu . I run asus A8N32 SLI DELUXE
I have got the 3200 , X2-3800, X2-4800.
also , I am oc'd from 2.4 to 2.7 and with good cooling, temp runs at idle 44-46 and 48-52 full load
