Does Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI card supports WPA
Does this card supports WPA?
When I look in the Network Properties of this card on my Toshiba Sat1800
there are no WPA options. Is this because the machine configuration is wrong or the card don't support it.
The driver is 7.43.0.9 (1/07/2001) which seems really old but I cant find
a newer one anywhere?
Does anyone know of a newer driver that will enable WPA on this card?

Thanks so much. It worked like a dream for me. After days of search previously, I had concluded it was a hardware problem and was about to buy a new card but your solution helped me.
Thanks again.

Re: Does Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI card supports WPA
I checked the links if they are working or not and found that both the files can be downloaded easily through those links. So I think there is some problem in your PC or browser with downloading files.
Try to download with different browser. Or else, try downloading with Orbit Downloader. This may help you.

[note: using Windows XP]
to download the file, right-click on the filename, then choose Save Link As
After the file is downloaded, right-click on the file and choose Extract All.
That should bring up the Extraction Wizard.
Click Next. Then Next again to extract files to a new folder (which will have the same name as the file name, in this case "windows_drivers_sr02-2.3").
Then go to control panel (switch to classic view if you're not there already). Double-Click System. Click on Hardware tab. Click on Device Manager. Cllick on the + sign next to Network adapters. Double-Click the Network Adapter (Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card in this case). Click on Driver tab. Click Update Driver.
That should bring up the Hardware Update Wizard.
Check No, not this time to the question Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software? (actually doesn't really matter much what you answer here -- in this particular case). Click Next.
Choose Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Click Next.
Click the browse button, then navigate to the folder which contains the drivers. Then click Next.
After this, I can't exactly retrace my steps because I already did the update and the screen is now different. But Windows should now find the driver and start updating the system.
