Can't set resolution on LCD monitor!

Hi i am having LCD monitor of samsung. It was working fine untill i reinstalled the Vista Home premium. Now i am changing resolution but its not taking any affect on monitor.I have installed the monitor driver downloaded form samsung website. So is it problem with my monitor or OS? Any body have face same kind of problem?

There is no problem with your Monitor or OS they are fine. Are you sure you have installed all the driver for chipset and your video card? Which Graphic card you are using?

Yes TheGreatOne got the point there is problem with your video card not monitor. Download the latest driver for your video card.

My graphic card is a ATI radeon x300 series. I have installed the driver for it but nothing happening. Ok now i am going to download the latest driver for it from the website.

Yes bro try a newly updated driver or otherwise you have to buy a new graphic card but before it connect your monitor with others system.

Monitor was fine now i have installed a updated driver for my video card its working fine it seems my motherboard Cd got currupted anyways thanks for your help.
