Dell Xps M1330 Overclocking advice...

Guys i got a Xps M1330...it doesnt hav a powerful card (as bcoz its a 13 inch laptop)....it has a 8400M GS 128 Mb Nvidia card...

I tried overclocking it by rivatuner..
My stock settings were
Core Clock - 400
Shader Clock - 800
Memory Clock - 600
Vista ratings for Aero was 4.1
& for Gaming was 4.8

Overclocked settings.....
Core Clock - 500
Shader Clock - 1000
Memory Clock - 750
Vista ratings for Aero now is 4.5
& for Gaming was 5.1

GPU temperature hitting 100 C (dis isnt normal i guess)

I saw that increasing the Memory clock increaes gaming scores & increasing the Core & shader clock increases aero score...!

I tried Crysis for 3 hours continuosly...it didnt cras...

I need advice....is the temperatures ok...???
Whats the max Gpu temperature to be allowed....

Is it only the temperature thing to be kept in mind or long term usage will damage the Gpu ?

I overclock it only when playing games or else its set to stock settings.

nvidia usually specifies 145C as the maximum core GPU temperature, but that is for desktop GPUs.

I believe laptop GPUs are in a different boat.

Running a GPU at 100C is not good in the long run....

dude give it a break its laptop
no extra cooling you can give so try not to fry it
if you can manage to get extra coolinh for your laptop then try for more o'cing

is 100C quite high or ok...bcoz...wid stock settings & Dell drivers peak temp. is hitting 95 C....!! So 5 C increase.....wud it damage d GPU...!

Try getting a laptop cooler or sit in an air conditioned room

i am trying to keep d temperature under 95...wid overclocking...!

i hope i only need to b careful abt d temperature....i guess no other issues...

thrz a copper modding tat cud b done ...tat wud reduce temperature considerably...arnd 5-10 degress less...bt tryin it wud void d warranty..!
