I am trying to build a project plan that needs to be combined with an existing project plan and these both plan are in MS project. I was thinking that if there is a way to import one plan into the other? So can anyone tell me how to achieve this?

You can try to create a master file and then open both files. After that click on Window and then New Window and then select both the files and then press ok. You will then get a new 3rd file that will contain both the subproject files. You can also try to use custom grouping incase you want to see it by WBS.
Follow the below steps:
- First of all try to copy all of the tasks from the source file and paste it into the target file.
- After that try to do the same, but for Resources.
- Now with both files open and the target file active, Use Tools, Organizer to fetch the calendar from the source file.
