Windows Mail not displaying correct Contacts options
Hey Guys,
I'm having problem in my Windows mail. Its not displaying the correct contacts option in it. Instead of the usual options across the top I am getting the same options as if it were my 'Pictures' folder. I tried to sort the problem but couldn't succeed in it. Can any one help me out to resolve this problem? Any help on it would be apprecaited.
Thanks.
Re: Windows Mail not displaying correct Contacts options
Go look in the settings, there is probably a setting to turn that off. I dont use it myself so i cant tell you off the top of my head. I can go look if you need it though.
Re: Windows Mail not displaying correct Contacts options
I think what is wanted is the little bar under folders that shows the Contacts that was in Outlook Express. Of which I just looked though the options and it appears that isn't available in Windows Mail. There are still a couple ways to start an email to a Contact in Windows Mail, click the new mail button then either:
1. In the To box start typing a name and auto complete will attempt to guess the rest and add the email.
2. Click the OK box and in the window the appears double click the Contact you want and click ok.
Re: Windows Mail not displaying correct Contacts options
To resolve this issue, configure the Windows Address Book to not share contact information with Outlook. To do this, follow these steps:
1. In Outlook Express, click the Address Book.
2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
3. Click to select the sharing option you want, and then click OK.
4. Click OK, close the Address Book, and then quit Windows mail.
