Which is the best RAM - Kingston HyperX Blu or Corsair Vengeance
I am using a Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 motherboard with i7 core processor. I can spend around $80 to get a set of 8GB of RAM for this build. I was thinking about which one among the below 2 RAM sets should I go for:
1. Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
2. Corsair Memory 8GB Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz
I guess that both the RAM are good and I want to use it for gaming purpose most of the time. So, can anyone help me to decide which RAM should I go for? Thanks.
Re: Which is the best RAM - Kingston HyperX Blu or Corsair Vengeance
The RAM that you have listed seems to me like Corsair is the winner among the 2 brand. You can expect Kingston Kit to be rated at 1.65V where else the Corsair Memory is rated at only 1.5V. So, there is an advantage for Corsair RAM. Also, both these ram kits will not get in the way of the cooler since they are also low profile. All you need to do is just place the memory before the cooler.

Yes, with that kind of lower voltage, you can go with the Corsair memory kits which will also have more room to overclock the RAM and gain some more performance out of it. Also on newegg, a CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 will not cost you more than $90 which is good deal.
Re: Which is the best RAM - Kingston HyperX Blu or Corsair Vengeance
I will suggest you to go with the Kingston HyperX Blu memory because it will overclock better, although having a higher voltage, compared to the Corsair Vengeance RAM. There are pretty good IC used in the Hyperx memory where else the Vengeance has got some problems with its rated timings and wont overclock much at all. Many people are also complaining that there have been many problems lately with the Corsair Vengeance memory.
