Hd 7850 or Gigabyte GTX 660
I am trying to build a new pc with a moderate graphics card that will be able to play most of the games that has been released till yet on a medium setting. After researching a lot for the graphics card I have come across 2 such GPUs namely Gigabyte GTX 660 and HD 7850 video card. I am actually on a tight budget and hence dont want to spend much on this new configuration. Can anyone tell me which one of these graphics card will be best for me? Thanks
Re: Hd 7850 or Gigabyte GTX 660
I will suggest you to go with the Gigabyte GTX 660 because I am a Nvidia fan and it is my personal preference over any other card. I feel that Nvidia always has much more superior cards in most competitions that any other brands specially for new games that also perform very well with the nvidia chips. Previously I was using an AMD card and I was having a lot of issues with it, it didnt use to perform well and there were all sorts of driver problems as well. So, Nvidia is the right choice to go for.
Re: Hd 7850 or Gigabyte GTX 660
I think that the GTX 660 is a better card in terms of performance and it also has a good support for drivers. The main thing is that it will depend on the game that you want to play. Incase you play Battlefield 3 or games designed with same engine then it will perform better with GTX cards rather than AMD video cards and hence you would want to go for GTX 660. Games such as World of Warcraft or similar are designed to work better for HD 7850.
Re: Hd 7850 or Gigabyte GTX 660
Gigabyte GTX 660 video card is the best card that you can get from any Nvidia brands. Both HD 7850 and GTX 660 comes under same price. The HD 7850 just handles games on a high resolution but if you compare overall performance then GTX 660 is a good card. My friend is having the same Gigabyte model graphics card and he is able to play Battlefield 3 at Ultra settings at 1680 x 1050 resolution without any issues. Hope this answers your question.
