How to remove the iPod touch from my iTunes account
I guess I have made thing too complicated by making a single account iTunes for my both iphone and ipod touch. I mean both the device’s username and password are the same in iTune.
Now the thing is that I have decided to sell out my iPod touch to other guy and but before doing that I need to remove my ipod touch from iTunes account. So can anyone help me out with doing this, also I am worried that once if I delete the account, is it possible for that guy to create his own account with the same device?

Hey you can easily do that, you need to just:
- Go to Settings
- General
- Reset
- Erase all content and Settings
Now you won’t be able to transfer or copy the contents to another account

I think that will work out but not completely, we need to however erase the device from the Apple account which actually stores the serial number and etc. but if you do so this will remove the account from the device but the device is still displayed when you sign into “Find my iPhone”.
If you have suppose 5 devices which is already set up with the apple account, and if you are deciding to sell out one device and buying another one with the replacement then you need not have to add up the 6th device and create a new account.
You need to “Deauthorize All” within your iTunes Account information page.

If you want to remove an associated device or a system from an Apple ID:
- Open iTunes
- Sign in Apple ID (Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu)
- Choose Store
- View My Account from iTunes menu
- From Account Information screen
- Click Manage Devices
- Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to un-associate
