sku011 cab missing
I am running a Xp laptop with Office 2003 installed. Recently I did Windows Updates and found few entries regarding Office as well. I installed them all and since then my Office stopped working. Whenever I launch any Office application it starts with installation wizard that goes upto 50% and stops with an error. I tried Word, Excel, Powerpoint, same with all. Powerpoint says me that “sku001 cab missing”. I don’t know what it is and how to fix. Any working advice will be appreciated.

Cab files are usually installation files that use to be inside the installation CD. But as you started getting this after office updates, I guess it should be right in your system and hidden, but somehow your system is unable to locate. Anyways, you can fix it by trying out these steps:
- Go to Start > RUN > Type “regedit” > Enter.
- Now locate the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery - You will find a directory here named something “90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9”. Click it.
- Now on the right pane, there will be a key named “CDCACHE”. Double click the same and change its value to 0.
