Re: Disable Windows burning
I have used Burnaware version 1.3.0 on Vista 32 and it worked, but later versions had seemed less reliable. In Windows 7 x64 I use CDBurnerXP (free) and it remains to be seen with your burner. (mine Optiarc AD-7200S). You can also try imgburn (free) for dedicated CD/DVD images, it is very good.
Disable recording under Vista since it had the disadvantage of no longer allowing the use of DVD-RAM normally. Otherwise, under Vista the manipulation you indicated should work, it should create the key 32-bit dword and give value to 1, but here was nothing needed to run BurnAware or other software.
I had used temporarily because it was a method to prevent the drive tray that does not open when clicked on the shortcut by mistake. Windows 7 may limit this effect by displaying the player in the navigation pane of the Explorer when it is empty.
Re: Disable Windows burning
CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. In short, use Ccleaner to remove completely the burning software that you posed problem.
