How to view Gmail Inbox in HTC One X

As basic all the received mails goes in Inbox, so to view the Inbox in HTC On X you need to have to click on the main menu button on your mobile home screen and in there you will find Gmail just click on that it will open your Gmail in your HTC One X.
• Multiple conversations archive, delete or mark - Click in the check box for the message or conversation. After that just click the buttons at the bottom to select what you want to do with the chosen messages or conversations.
• Display drafts, send messages and other labels - Click the Inbox on the top bar and then click on another label (such as Sent, Drafts, or your own label which you have created) to analysis the messages and conversations.
• How to go to other Gmail account – Click the Inbox on the top bar and then click the account where you want to go to.

How to send an email via Gmail

To send an email you just have to click on the mail plus icon in your Inbox it will open a new mail there you will have to add the receipt to whom you want to send the mail.
Tips: Would you add recipients to a field copy (cc) or blind copy (bcc) of the message? For doing this you will have to click on Add bcc/cc tab which will allow you to add more receipt if required.
Now just type the message subject and compose your email. If you want to add a photo or video, you will have to click the three vertical lines on your screen there you will find the option of Attach files, there you can attach any file which you want to add in the mail. After doing all this just you have to click on Send button which will send your mail.

How to reply or forward mails from Gmail on HTC One X

From the Inbox of Gmail, just click on the email or the conversation. Now if you want to reply to any sender you just have to click on backwards arrow mark or you can also click on the three vertical lines and there you will find option to reply all or just forward the mail. You can do any of the following things. If you want to give a reply to the sender or Reply All is selected, you just have to enter your reply. And if you have chosen Forward option, you need to indicate the recipients of the message.
Tip: Click on Inline answer if you reply within the text of the received message to appear. This removes all attachments and formatting from the original message.
Now after doing all this you just have to click on send icon to send the mail.

Mails in HTC One X

How to add a POP3/IMAP email account

For doing this you will have to click on the main menu button on the home screen there you will find Mail option. You can do one thing over there. Now if you are adding a first mail in this account you will have to click on Other (POP3/IMAP) and select on mail source screen. And if you have already added any email account in your mail then over there you have to click the three vertical lines icon there you will find New account you just have to click it and after click this you will find Other (POP3/IMAP) option. Now you will have to insert your email address and password in your email account and after doing that you will have to click on Next button.
Note: Now if you are been asked to enter some more details regarding your email setting you will have to request your email service provider for help.
So after doing all this you will have to add your account name and your name and just click on Finish setup option.

How to add a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account

You can synchronize with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later.
Note: You can use up to 15 Exchange ActiveSync account on the HTC One X.
Now form the home screen you will just have to click on the main menu icon and in there you will get the Mail option. Over here you can do any of the following things. If you are adding this email account as the first email account, then you will have to click on Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and then you will have to select a mail provider screen. If you already have an email account in Mail you will just have to click on the three vertical lines icons in there you will get the option of new account and in there you will find Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync just select it. Now enter the information of the Exchange ActiveSync account and after doing so you will have to click on Next button.
Note: If your Exchange Server does not support auto-detect, you need Exchange Server settings. So for that you will have to ask the administrator of the Exchange Server for all the possible details.
Now after that select the synchronization options and click on Next. Now just enter the account name and click on Finish Setup.

How to check your Mail Inbox

If you use the Mail application open the Inbox for the e-mail accounts that you have set on the HTC One X. then just click on the bar with the current e-mail account displays between accounts to exchange information, and then click another account.

The common Inbox for all your e-mail accounts

You can e-mail from all your accounts in one place without having to switch to other accounts. For that you will have to select the bar that shows the current email account and then click on All accounts. Email messages are color coded so you can quickly see which e-mail accounts they hear from.
Note: In the common mailbox, up to 15 email accounts are displayed.

E-mail ordering

Do you have a mass e-mails in your inbox? Organize your e-mail messages in tabs and quickly find the desired messages. For doing that you will have to go to the email account which you would like to use. Now form the Inbox tab you will have to click on three vertical lines icon there you will find edit option tabs. Now to add it in the bottom row you will have to tab it and drag it to the bottom row which would add it. Now after that you will have to press the lesser than sign icon and then just scroll it to the added tab.

E-mail accounts manually refresh

No matter what your synchronization settings, you can send and receive email messages by manually synchronize. For that you will have to click on three vertical lines icon when viewing an e-mail account there you will find refresh option. And if you have multiple email accounts, you can change them all at once. First go to the mailbox all accounts. And then click on three vertical line icon there you will find refresh option.

E-mail sorting

You can arrange your emails by date received, priority, subject, sender or size. When you are in the Inbox you will have to click on the three vertical Lines icon in there you will find an option of Sort by clicking on it you will be able to sort as you require.
Tip: To quickly browse the list of messages based on the selected sort option, keep two fingers on an e-mail and drag it up or down.

How to send an email message

For this you will have to go to Mail via clicking on main menu icon form your home screen. After going there you will have to switch to the email account which you would like to use. Then click on plus icon and after clicking there you will have to fill add recipients as many as you want to send them the mail.
Tips: Now if you want to add more than one person you can add them to cc that is carbon copy oe even you can add them via bcc blind carbon copy, Just click on three vertical lines icon after clicking that you will see “Show cc/bcc”.
Now just enter the subject what you want and then just add the message you want to send. Over here you can do any of the following things. You can also add images or any other file you want to send by just clicking on the attach icon and then you can attach any file you want to send. And you can even set the priority of any important message if you want to do that you will have to click on the three vertical lines icon and over there you will find Set priority. And now if you want to send it click on send option and if you would wish to send it later you just have to click on Save button which will save your message.

Continue a draft e-mail

If you want to continue with the draft message you just have to click on three vertical lines icon while you are in the Inbox there you will find Folder option in that Folder option you will see Drafts just go to that. Now click on the message and just continue with the message after you have completed click on Send and it will send that message to the person you have added in the receipt.

How to read and reply to an email message

For this you will have to go to Mail via clicking on main menu icon form your home screen. After going there you will have to switch to the email account which you would like to use. Now from the inbox of the email account click on the message or conversation you want to read.
Note: For a given message in a conversation to read, you have to click on the drop down box after clicking that the conversation message opens the fold and then click the Flag icon of the email.
Now you just have to click on reply or reply to all.
Tip: Click on three vertical lines icon for more options for the email.

Where are my unread e-mails?

Unread messages are bold in the Inbox. To the common inbox for all your email accounts to view, there also appear colored bars next to unread email messages. The colored bars also designate to what email account the email was received. If you want to add all the unread messages together you will have to add an unread tab to the Inbox. To all the unread e-mails to group, add the unread tab to your inbox. You can also change the account which you want to use. SO for doing that just click on the three vertical lines icon from your Inbox page and click on Edit tabs. Now you just have to click on and hold the unread messages after doing that you will have to drag it to the bottom row to add it. Now after doing that you will have to add press less then sign icon and then click on unread tab.

An e-mail stored in the Tasks application

Save your e-mail in your Tasks list so you can remind yourself going on when you should send a reply. Keep in the inbox of an email account the email button and then click on save task option. In the New Task screen data from the task and click on Save.

Search email messages

You just have to click on magnify icon, if you want to refine your search or filter you will have to click on the gear icon after doing that just select the search options and click OK. You can search for example, focus on one part of an e-mail or e-mail filter that contain attachments or marked as high priority. After doing this just type in the search box where you want to search. Now just click a result to the e-mail box.

Search for e-mails from a contact

You know the sender but you have a specific e-mail from this contact which you would like to find? For doing that you have to go to the email account you want to use. Keep an e-mail message from a contact button. Click on search the mail from the sender. A list of e-mails from that contact would appear.

With Exchange ActiveSync e-mail works

An e-mail Mark

For this you will have to go to the Exchange ActiveSync account. Click while viewing the inbox on the flag icon beside an email message or conversation appears.
Tip: For an e-mail message in a conversation to highlight, click on the drop box the conversation open the fold and then click the Flag icon of the email.

Setting you’re Out of the office status

For doing this you will have to go to the Exchange ActiveSync account. After going there you will have to click on the three vertical lines icon in there you will see Out of the office. Type your current work situation and select Out of Office. Set the dates and times. Then you will have to set auto response. If your recipients outside your organization prefer another auto answer, click the Auto-reply to external mail recipient and then executes the automatic reply in the open box. After doing this things just click on save.

How to send a meeting request

Now you will have to go to the Exchange ActiveSync account. Click on the three vertical lines icon in there you will see New meeting invitation. Enter the data for the appointment. Now just click on save button.

Managing email messages

E-mail messages to another folder. Go to the email account you want to use. Select the e-mail messages you want to move.
Note: For all e-mail messages, first select an email message and then click on the three vertical lines icon in there you will see select All.
Now just select Move to option and then select the folder to which you want to move the mail.

How to delete email messages

Go to the email account you want to use. Then click the check boxes of e-mails that you want to delete.
Note: For all e-mail messages, first select an email message and then click on the three vertical lines icon, in there you will see Select All option. After selecting that option just click on Delete option, it will delete all the selected messages.

How to switch to other mail folders

From the inbox of an e-mail account you will have to click on the three vertical lines icon in there you will see Folder option. Click the e-mail folder with the messages you what to view.

How to change email account settings

You can even modify your email notification settings, add a signature, and delete an account and so on. For that you have to go to the email account which you wish to modify. And then click on the three vertical lines icon, in there you will see Settings options. Here you can do whatever setting you want to do.

How to Sync email less frequently

If your e-mail not often needs to synchronize, for example if you look at video or drive, use Smart Sync to automatically synchronize the time to renew before the HTC One X synchronizes your e-mail account. Smart Sync helps you save of the battery. For that you will have to go to the e-mail account for which you want to use Slim sync. And then click on the three vertical lines icon, in there you will see Settings option in that you will see Sync, send and receive option. Now click on Peak time sync in that Smart sync. Select Off-peak time sync and in that select Smart sync. Now just press lesser than sign.

Smart sync then prolongs the time synchronization for e-mail each time after the expiration of any automatic synchronization time when you have not opened the Mail application. Open the Mail application and check the mailbox at any time if you want to synchronize.
