asus gtx 780 directcu ii overclocking
I am new to overclocking and have purchased a new Asus Gtx 780 Directcu II graphics card for myself. I wanted to overclock this video card and was wondering what will be the stable overclocking setting for this card? How should I increase the voltage of this card that will not generate to much of temperature on this card? Thanks
Re: asus gtx 780 directcu ii overclocking
There's a guy who was able to overclock asus gtx 780 directcu ii card on +200mhz on clockspeed. He was getting round about 60 degree Celcius temperature reading but this will depend on the coolers and computer case which he used. Also, there seems to be a voltage cap with this card, so you wont be able to hit higher than this settings.
Re: asus gtx 780 directcu ii overclocking
The ASUS GTX 780 DirectCU II graphics card already comes with factory overclocked so there is no reason to overclock it might higher. As said above even if you manage to overclock it then you can only expect a 20% faster performance gain in any video games that you will play. But it can be said that you will get higher performance than the Gtx Titan graphics card for sure.
Re: asus gtx 780 directcu ii overclocking
I was able to get the graphics card core clock set up to 1120mhz at stable and the memory speed at 7500mhz. If the overclocking was set to anything more than this then the card used to crash every now and then. I was getting more than 18% performance in overclocking comparing it to its factory overclocked rate and I also think that it will give more in a Water Cooling mode.
