10-FC12-0241 & f3-f200-0002
I have toshiba satellite l505-s5998. I tried to restore back to Original state. So I tried to use the recovery options from the hard disk. At the end of recovery, I got the following error messages.
10-FC12-0241 (AT THE END OF RECOVERY)
AFTER SUBSEQUENT BOOTING, I GOT THE FOLLOWING ERROR MESSAGES.
F3-F200-0002
F3-FF00-0006
I contacted Toshiba and reported the events. I was told that the hard disk is a problem and needs to be replaced. I also ordered for a new recovery disk since I didn't make one, which costed me 25$. I bought a new hard disk and tried it. Same error messages keep coming.
Solution is no where in sight. I tried to remove memory and placed it back. Memory is fine.
Any solutions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Suresh

I think that the problem is with the recovery disk itself, it might be faulty and therefore you will need to order new disk from here:

Maybe the disk is scratched so the files can’t be read anymore. You can order a recovery disk from Toshiba, therefore follow the link given above.

Order a new recovery disk. This time it gives another hard disk error.
10-FC12-0570.
Recovery disk copies all the files from 3 cd's. Once it copied, it starts " Now Recovering.. " process. At 3% stage, it ends abruptly and displays the error screen. This happens previously and now as well. Only the error code changed.

Still the problem is pointing towards the recovery disk. Now why i am saying is that because it is not actually performing the task of recovery. It just copies the data and receives it properly from the hard disk but where is it giving the problem is during the recovery, Probably you must call them up again and then ask for the recovery disk. nothing else seems to be the solutio9n here.

Problem was solved by replacing the memory. It was not due to Software Recovery Disk. My sincere thanks to all of you for your valuable advice and suggestions.

For the F2-200-0002 & F3-FF00-0006 error messages. All I did was hit F12 and told it to boot from the CD/DVD option... I was getting both of those error messages and spoke to someone and he told me it wasn't a memory error.. Once I did this, it has loaded everything up to the point that I am on here now... It's recovering as we speak. Will let you know how it goes. Wish me luck...lol
