shell32dll,control_Rundll.hotplug dll
I am using a Windows XP PC. I had installed Acronis on the same. I am using the SP3 edition of Windows XP. I had updated my system withal patches and it looks to be working proper. But I got a error when I removed my usb from the pc. I had restored my pc via usb using Acronis. The error was related to some dll files. The full error is - shell 32dll control rundll hotplug dll offset 000048be . It just appeared from nowwhere. I am not able to understand how this error occurred. Is this associated with Acronis.
RE: shell32dll,control_Rundll.hotplug dll
It looks like some kind of problem with the usb drive. I had seen that error on web and there are ample of users faced the problem. The issue lies with Acronis only. There is no exact solution available. But if you are getting the error constantly on your screen while boot up or while working then it is better you do not use the usb drive to restore your system. You can go with manual installation which will be a bit more safer.

Start -> Run -> [type] mmsys.cpl [OK]
This runs the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog box
Check [ ] Place volume icon in the taskbar
Select OK
... this is a work around that will also bring back the
Safely Remove Hardware icon next to the speaker icon
in the taskbar system tray.
