Linux on Dell Alienware m15x
Hello,
I want to take a laptop soon, and I confess to being tempted by Alienware. For cons, what about compatibility with Linux? I want to install Arch Linux over a small machine, I searched the manufacturer's site as well as linux-laptop, but nothing suggests the eventual compatibility of these. So is the Dell Alienware m15x compatible with linux operating system? Any help regarding this is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Linux on Dell Alienware m15x
Hello,
Have you found the list of the elements why you have to configure with the Dell Alienware. If you have not done this then I recommend you to do this first and then look for the compatibility. Compatibility is the main issue no doubt about that, but i think check for the proper elements first is good solution. Any ways it i up to you, i hope you will do the need full.
Re: Linux on Dell Alienware m15x
Hello,
The Alienware laptops are OEM rebadge. If I remember correctly, the Sentia m15 is that you speak, and it is a Clevo m540n with an alien head pasted on it, not know if I advance you really. Also, google returns nothing very good has a search on "linux m15x dell, apart from the fact that someone is busy at developing a driver for the LED support mail. I guess I am correct here, also if there are drivers available for this then you can download them.
