Final cut pro 6 freeze during playback
I filmed with three video cameras (Canon, Sony and Panasonic). I have problem with Final Cut pro 3.0 on play. On iMac G5 / Tiger Clippings timecode on ibook G4 not detected in Leopard. In G5/G4 and Intel Macbook: Freeze for about 5 minutes all out of sync with the consequence of the sound instead of the continuous image. Freeze frame for viewing this quicktime and the time line. What is the solution for this. Any idea ? Please help.
Re: Final cut pro 6 freeze during playback
On many occasions, The versions of less than the Final Cut pro3.0 have noted a systematic loss of pictures during the video capture on some Macs have undergone System Update 10.4.9 . If this was already the case, You just have to do (for safety) a backup of your important files, reinstall from the Tiger installation DVD, and apply 10.4.8. The problem being that Spotlight attempts to index images on the fly caught a final solution lies in the following operation, which is to hide them from scrutiny of Spotlight:
- Open System Preferences
- Choose Spotlight
- Slide capture scratch final cut studio in the privacy tab of spotlight
- Restart.

Re: Final cut pro 6 freeze during playback
It is often suggested to use a HDconnect to users of HDV for the faster they come out of this highly compressed format. It all depends also on the camera you use. If your camerahas an HD-SDI, you do not need the HD Connect because you can connect to an HD capture card. Then you can capture uncompressed HD, DVCPRO HD (100Mbps) or, soon, ProRes 422, which are all formats that will give you greater flexibility and experience less your processor. They will, however, more space but DVCPRO HD and ProRes is working hard on FW800.
Re: Final cut pro 6 freeze during playback
If you Final Cut Pro 5 compressor and you can scan the HDV FW400. Once captured, you can make the transfer to DVCPRO HD yourself. If your camcorder has HD-SDI, you can actually go into a box service as Technicolor, Digicom, FDCOM, So they digitize your tapes in the format you want on. If you really want the best quality, you must digitize uncompressed HD, but you'll need a RAID $ 5,000 for rolling your video. I suggest you rather DVCPRO HD.
Re: Final cut pro 6 freeze during playback
The help menu built into every Final Cut Studio lets you search directly in the user manual, which is a considerable help in finding information, such as installation and configuration Final Cut Pro or creating an effect on motion or the use Soundtrack Pro to mix your project. Select the Help menu in Final Cut Studio that you use to access the user manual and other useful resources. It can solve your issue.
