    Android wifi authentication problem

I have purchased an Android 4.1 tablet with WLAN 802.11 and WPS. On attempting to connect with my wi-fi router(Virgin Super Hub WPA/WPA2 PSK), the home network is identified and the signal strength is excellent. Having entered the network password I am told that it is authenticating. The message "Saved, secured with WPA/WPA2" appears, followed in a few seconds by "Authentication problem".

I have also tried to enter a WPS pin but this also fails.

    Any bright ideas? :4-dontkno

    Re: Android wifi authentication problem

Can you try to log into your wireless router and then ensure that the wireless security mode setting is set to wpa/wpa2-psk. If it is not set to that then set it to the same setting and click apply. If it is still set to wpa/wpa2-psk then it is a problem with the hardware of your router.
