Has anyone tried installing Ubuntu in a tablet

Today I see a lot of discussion based on installation of custom rom. Many users root their device and test different rom on their phone. I want to know that is there anyone who has tried installing Ubuntu. I had seen a tablet edition of Ubuntu is released. But how to add that thing. Will it work fine. We can use this on android and windows tablet. I do think dual boot is possible here. But still it will be great to use this os.

Till yet no one has worked on a tablet edition of Ubuntu. I had seen so many custom roms but Ubuntu OS is not available. You can get themes. It is a tough job to make this operating system compatible with various tablet in the market. There must be a package available that can help anyone to add Ubuntu quiet easily. Till today it is not relay possible to add two android os in the same tablet or mobile phone. That means dual boot.

Even if someone will be able to install the touch will not work. There can be other hardware issue also in the device. You have to verify that properly. I have a budget phone which I will like to root and test. But without a appropriate working rom it will be wrong to flash it. It can create issues and the device will not boot. Android might using Linux kernel but most of the things are different there. Just wait back for any rom to release.
