How to restore Blackberry Curve 9220 OS stuck on red light

I want a bit help here to restore the OS of Blackberry Curve 9220 mobile phone. It stopped working. There is only a single red blinking light on the screen. I am not able to do anything. I had seen some similar threads on web that says that I will have to restore the phone OS. How to do that. From where I can download it. I had tried searching on the official website but I cannot found the OS download. Can anyone help.

You have to carry the phone to service center. They will flash the phone OS. I do not think it is going to work in that way. Second thing for re-installing the Os you will need the version as per your phone model and region. There are various Os version available on the web and if you download some wrong one there can be problem. So better carry the device to your nearest service center and check back. I am sure that will help.

You can download and try the OS. This is available for free and I sure this can help you to fix the problem. The total download size is 256 MB. Just download and double click on the file. Then go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and from there remove vendor.xml. Then plug the mobile phone and run loader.exe and I am quiet sure this will help. Search for 9220AllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel2102_PL9.50.0.80_A7.1.0.74 on google.

The above process works. But it is a time consuming. It will take long time to update. Sometime this takes around a hour. I had done this on my friends Blackberry Curve 9220. The device felled in water. We had kept it for drying for two days. It is more easier to restore through Blackberry Desktop Manager. You just have to connect the phone and install this software. It will automatically detect and repair the device only if the battery is not dead.
