Cannot connect Acer Aspire E1-472G-6844 to router

At my office I am having Acer Aspire E1-472G-6844 laptop. It has a bit issue with wifi connectivity. It is failing. I am not able to connect with the router. Sometime there is no connection. There is a tiny yellow exclamation mark on the network icon placed at the bottom right. what should I do. It takes really long time to scan the wifi and establish a connection. Can anyone help.

The issue can be with the router. Did you tried connecting some other device. If that works then it means then there can be problem with the wifi driver of your laptop. You have to update that to fix the problem. Just go on the official website and download fresh drivers. Run the setup and then check back. I am sure after that the problem will be resolved.

Just for temporary period just disable the antivirus. I had gone through this problem a few months ago. It was a new laptop that came with AVG Internet Security. The router was unable to connect. I disabled the antivirus and it worked. There was no issue at all. So in your case also you have to do the same thing. Just turn off the antivirus or any security application that is active in the background and check.

You said that the laptop takes a long time to scan and detect the wifi network. This means the adapter is not working. Just for testing purpose connect the system with lan port and see whether it works or not. If work fine, then you can go ahead with the first solution that is driver update. If that does not work then better carry it to the service center for fix. That will surely help.
