HTC One Touchscreen is not responsive

I just bought the HTC one and I was running on the track at uni, it was drizzling a bit, I was using the phone to listen to music so I put it in my pocket but now the screen keeps flickering.. and its not responsive to my touches!?

OMG!?!? what do I do? I noticed that water had gone through the ear jack :'(

ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?

Well, due to the water spilled the mobile phone's motherboard or digitizer would have been damaged. So if your HTC One is under warranty then try to get those hardware replaced as soon as possible but if it is not under warranty then it is going to be a costly repair.

Can I trust a local shop to fix the screen?.. and no, my warranty does not cover water damage :'(

You can first ask the local mobile repair shop if the screen can be fixed and then only proceed. You will also need to stay there until they solve the issue, since in your absence they can even change parts from your mobile phone and convert it into a china mobile. So carefully examine what all things they will be doing for fixing your mobile phone by staying there and get the job done properly.
