    o2 taking £1 a day when I am on Wi-Fi - Help

I bought an unlocked Samsung Galaxy SIII on Amazon and transfered the O2 Sim from my old 'phone. I am connected to Wi-Fi at home and I do not want to use O2 except on 'phone calls and text. The Sim is pay-as-you go. But, O2 are taking £1 every day and giving me 50MB, which I don't need because I use Wi-Fi connected to my ISP.

How do I disable the 'phone from using the Sim unless I am making a 'phone call or sending a text? I suspect that the 'phone connects automatically to O2 when the Wi-Fi is turned off, which I do to save power, but I am not sure.

    Many thanks,

    Alex

The problem with "forums" is that one does not get help if no one knows how to solve the problem.

It seems like they have an app which uses the net and that is deducting the £1 for 50mb usage. You can try to topup to a certain amount a month and get a data hang on. There is something on the phone using data that is causing it. Can you try to turn of the mobile data for the whole day and use wifi only and then see if still you are being charged?

    Thanks Expertz,
I have contacted Samsung support and they told me to "untick" Mobile Networks in the Settings. I have not been charged anything since, so it has worked.
    Thanks again,
    Alex
