internet connection always "ON" in Nokia 208

One of my friend has bought a new Nokia 208 mobile phone. He is complaining me that he can always see the "H" and "E" icon on the top area of the display in the phone which means that its always connected to internet. But opening other social networking application is always very slow? So, why is this problem happening, any ideas? Thanks

There are many apps in your mobile phone that require online access from time to time. Lets say if you have installed WhatsApp in your mobile phone then it will be consuming some data every now and then if anyone in your friend list is trying to send you some text or image or video. So, what you need to do is, try and turn off the mobile data completely and thus the internet connection in your mobile phone will be turned off completely.

Can you try to reset the phone setting and check if that works. To do that, simply click on the menu icon and then go to settings. After that search and tap on Reset factory settings and then click only on the Settings only. Now tap on continue and then enter the security code that is 12345 and then press ok. The phone will start doing its thing and once completed, it will reboot and after that check if the facebook application is opening normally like before.

There might be some problem with your phone and hence you should try to update it to the latest version. To do that check in its settings if any latest version of the update or firmware is available for your phone, if yes, then install it asap. Also if this didnt work then try to delete the facebook application by going to Menu > Settings > Application Manager > Installed apps and then delete facebook app. After deleting it download and install it again from the OVI store.
