Impact of tablet and mobile gaming on consoles

Don't you think that the portable device gaming can impact sales of gaming consoles. Here we have a more portable solution to play games. Like Nvidia is going to release its Tegra Note tablet which is more better. It has a amazing quad core cpu and gpu that offer more better hd gaming on the tablet. I think people prefer to go more with tablet this time. Before there was no special games available for portable platform.

It might, because tablet are easy alternative. Even Smartphones like Galaxy Note 3 which are loaded with amazing hardware configuration offering you great gaming platform. But still consoles are different you cannot compare them to portable devices.

Consoles gives you bigger and better gaming. You can play rich high end games on them. In portable platform you can only play the same for sometime. Surely the sales is affected. Because as this portable device came into existence they spread like a wild fire. And manufacturers on the same, tries to build device which is more sleeker and powerful. So to some extent the sales are affected. But those who had already played game on consoles will not like portable devices. They are just for fun. All games that are already available on a console are not available for portable devices. It is very hard to port them also. You can enjoy basic games on it. People choose tablet and smartphone only because you can take them with you and you have pc like features on them. You can surf web and increase your productivity. While consoles are still the first choice in gaming. Even desktop lies in the same place. Along with this we have more alternative in portable devices. We can buy cheaper one from various manufacturer, while consoles on the same hand are build by few companies only.

I do not really think portable devices can affect consoles. They still remain firm on their place. If there were different consoles, then it would be a matter of discussion. I had seen many changes in gaming development on android. Soon we will get more hd games on it.
