Lenovo Thinkpad S440 vs Dell Latitude E6430

Among Lenovo Thinkpad S440 Touch and Dell Latitude E6430 which one is better. I am looking for a good notebook for business purpose. So I found this two models. Now this two looks great. One has a touch based support and the other looks good in terms of performance. I need a notebook which will ideally used for business purpose. I need a good range that is durable and strong enough for day to day purpose.

Both looks high end models to me. I do not think it is necessary to go for touch screen. You can buy the second one. The one which belongs to Dell. That looks more durable and Dell products are reliable also. While touchscreen can get spoil soon.

There is a huge price difference between both the notebook. Thinkpad S440 is a touch screen based notebook. That makes it costly. It comes in two model. The one here offer you Intel Core i5 cpu and the other one comes with Intel Core i7 processor. Both are 64bit models. Both are loaded with a 2GB graphic card. While for ram in the first one you will get 4GB while the second comes with 8GB. If you go for the Core i7 models then along with 500GB hard drive you will get a 128GB SSD also. Coming to Dell Latitude E6430, you will get similar configuration at a more lesser price. This notebook does not comes with Windows 8. It has Windows 7. It also features two series under which one has Intel Core i7 cpu and other one has Intel Core i5.For ram you can have upto 8GB support on the same. While it falls low on the gpu. You have choice separately add a 1GB nvidia gpu. In Thinkpad S440 you already have a powerful 2GB dedicated video card. In terms of extreme performance Thinkpad S440 is great, while in terms of professional usage. Dell Latitude E6430 is better.

If you just need to use the laptop for your office work, then you can go for a more reasonable model. There are ample of them available. The models which are mentioned are too costly. Go for a more lower series. Like the one which has Core i3 cpu with 1GB gpu. That would be more than enough.
