Blackberry confirmed BBM availability for Android and iOS from September 21st

BlackBerry's own BBM is a well known Messenger around the world and most used messaging client among blackberry users. Couple of months they ago they announced that BBM will be soon released for Android as well as iOS users as well. After being in rumors for so long, finally today BlackBerry announced the availability of this messaging client for Android and iOS.

Today the brand officially confirmed that BBM will be available for Android users from September 21st and for iOS users from September 22nd. Users can download the same from Google Play and iTunes respectively from starting the given date. This cross platform messaging client will not come with all features of BBM we have seen on Blackberry devices but at the start we will have Chats, Groups and file sharing. Rest of the features will be added later through updates.

Re: Blackberry confirmed BBM availability for Android and iOS from September 21st

Hey guys, it is 21st, where is the BBM for Android? I am having Samsung Galaxy S3 and searching the store since morning. But the only thing i get is all these worst and fake apps:

You can see none of them are official from BlackBerry. Also their reviews says these apps are crashing users phones, or the app itself is crashing on launch, etc etc. Just fake apps.

Where is the official BBM Messenger for Android ? Can anyone please provide me the link?

Re: Blackberry confirmed BBM availability for Android and iOS from September 21st

Unfortunately BBM for Android is delayed. The reason Blackberry provided for this was somebody leaked APK for BBM which has been already downloaded over 1.1 million so far. It wasn't the official BBM which was supposed to be released.

As far as BBM for iOS is concerned, they released the BBM for iOS officially, many people have already installed on their devices but later the app was pulled off again from the store. They will release it again later with Android version. But the iOS users who have downloaded already can continue using it.
