Cost of 64gb pendrive in Indian market

What is the cost of 64GB pen drive. The one which I saw is costly. They are just crossing Rs.2000. I want a cheaper one here. I can find a 32GB at more reasonable rate. But I thought buying 64GB will be far more better due to double space and usb 3.0 support. Is there any budget model available under Rs.1500. I want one for data backup purpose.

64GB is not cheap at all. The price starts from Rs.2500.If you need a portable size then you can go for HP V220 which is a USB 2.0 drive and comes for Rs.2800. While usb 3.0 is more costlier. The price easily cross above Rs.3000.

I think it is not wise to spend that much amount on a pen drive. For a usb 3.0 interface you will have to pay around Rs.3500. While you can buy a 500GB external hard drive for Rs.3300. The more you pay the higher space you get. I am having a 32GB kingston pen drive. I thought this will be the most portable option to carry and backup data. But scenario here was different. The drive provides me good speed, but it gets heat ups a lot. I hope this will not get damaged. It is only fine till it is under warranty. Compare to 64GB you can go for 32GB also. That start from Rs.1000. They are in budget. And also you will get here usb 3.0 support. Instead of wasting your money on a 64GB storage the best thing you can do is buy a 32GB or you can go for a 500GB external hard drive. And if add more 1000 bucks then you get a 1TB external hard drive. Which is also more than enough. So in terms of external storage you have more option under external hard drive instead of going for a usb.

I think it is right to go for a external storage. 64GB usb is not worth enough. Because here you are getting a 500Gb space which much more higher and offer you the same kind of portable features. There are various models available on web.
