cannot download videos and images in whatsapp on Nokia C5-00

I have Nokia C5-00 which runs on Symbian s60v3 OS. I love my phone very much. It has one problem. I have installed Whatsapp on it for chatting with my friends, relatives, colleagues and my pet cats. Problem is that I can chat in whatsapp properly, but I cannot download videos and images that my friends, relatives, colleagues and pet cats send. When I try to download any video or image, the downloading proceeds without any progress. If kept active, the download can run run for up to 9 days (tried once) without even actually downloading 0.0000000000000001% of the content. There is no problem with the network. Also downloading from browser or any other application works fine.

Current Whatsapp version: 2.8.26
Planning to upgrade: 2.9

Well, were you able to send them some files before? If you cannot send them any files, by clicking on the attachments, like photos, videos or anything else, then the problem might be that your mobile phone doesnt support those kind of services. Other than that, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Whatsapp software again and see if it works or not.
