Using Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as a phone

I wanted to know if there is any way by which I can use Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as a phone, I mean, I can call and send SMS from this tablet. There is a slot for the SIM card to be inserted in this tablet, but holding such a large tablet against your ears will look stupid in public places. So I wanted to know if there is calling and SMS feature available in this tablet.

There is slot for SIM card in Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and you can insert the card to get the features of the phone like that of making calls and sending SMS and MMS. I know it is not possible to hold the large tablet to the years to talk in it. But I think that best thing to talk using this tablet is by using the hands free method. That is turn on the speaker and listen to the other person and you can talk through the microphone. You can send the SMS normally by typing and sending it to the desired number.

You can also connect a headphone or earphones with microphones to talk on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I think this will be better than turning on the speakers and let the world hear your conversation. Also the speakers of turned on for conversation will consuming large amount of battery than the earphone or headphone will. So I suggest you to use the headphones or earphones with microphone if you want to use Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as a phone to contact people.
