tss.exe prevents my Toshiba Satellite A205 from shutdown

I am using the Toshiba Satellite A205 and that was running without any problem. but suddenly on last Sunday when I was trying to turn off my laptop then it pop up with an error message saying

“tss.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

I tried to turn it off many of the times but all the times it shows me the same message. So I finally did force shutdown. What can be the reason for this problem? Is there someone else who has faced this problem or knows that how this problem can be resolved?

Have you recently installed some of the programs that forced you to make some changes to the system settings ? If this is the case then the program that you have installed is the culprit for the issues. Uninstall that from your computer and remove all its related content from it. Yes, I know that there are some virus that runs with the name tss.exe but the tss.exe in reality this is Toshiba Service Station program. If you do not like that to come at start up then there is one simple setting that you have to make. Open the run box and then type MSConfig there and hit enter. Open the startup tab and there you will see one of the options as TSS, just uncheck that option and save the changes. Now restart your computer and check that if the problem is resolved or not.
