My Kingston 4GB pen drive not recognized in any computer

Hello friend, I am using windows xp and I have one 4 GB Kingston pendrive which is not recognize in my computer. I also try in my friend’s home but there also pendrive is not recognized. When I put the pendrive in computer then some messages occurred that is unknown device.

I ask my friends about this problem, they suggested me to try it on another OS. I tried it on other operating system as well but still the same problem.

Do you guys have any idea what could be the problem or i can solve this ??

Probably it is the drivers issue. Because while we plug any external drive in the computer, it starts searching for drivers. If it wont get the required drivers, such problem occurs. If you get this error message “One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message”. so one simple solution is you should try uninstall and reinstall the usb driver. If still the pendrive not getting recognized that turn off the computer, unplug it from the power supply. leave it for few minutes, plug everything back again and restart the PC. See if it works now.
