Lenovo ThinkPad T60 not booting and stops at crcdisk.sys

I am having the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 which is having Windows vista installed lin that. Problem is that it is not booting. I have also tried with the vista installation disk but that also fails to boot. I found that that on the command line it stops at crcdisk.sys. Can you tell that what can be the problem with this and how it can be resolved or what is the crcdisk.sys. If you have some idea regarding this then please let me know that. I will be thankful for all the replies for this.

crcdisk.sys is in the folder C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers. Known file sizes on Windows 7/XP are 22 632 bytes. The driver can be started or stopped from (in the Control Panel or printer). The program is not visible. It is digitally signed by Microsoft. She is certified by a trustworthy company. There is no detailed description of this service. The file file is not a Windows system file. crcdisk.sys seems to be a compressed file.

Viruses and other malicious files can come up as crcdisk.sys. Particularly if they are located in c: \ windows or c: \ windows \ system32 folder. Therefore, please check whether it is in the process on your pc crcdisk.sys a virus. Would you like to check your computer's security, we recommend the software Security Task Manager.

Try to start the computer in the safe mode and see if that is getting stared or not? If that get started then just run the system restore on the computer. Select some earlier date when that was running well without any issue. It will restore all the things to that point. Don’t worry, you will not lose any of the data. It will just reset the setting and not anything else.

It will be better for you if you can update Disk Block Verification Filter Driver. You can find updates on the website of the manufacturer.

You can also use the chkdsk. Just start the computer in the safe mode and then run chkdsk It will check for the errors in the hard drive and if there is any bug then it will you report you back. This is the best that you can do for this. Good luck!!!

Running chkdsk is good option but you can also try to start that in the safe mode and see if that is getting booted or not. If it boots properly then just uninstall all the recently installed softwares from it and then restart the computer in the normal mode. This can solve the problem for you.
