BSOD while burning Blu Ray/DVD on Qosmio x775-3dv80

I purchased Toshiba Qosmio x775-3dv80 a week ago. I was trying to write some movies in a Blu Ray disc using DVDfab 8. As soon as the burning process started, blue screen error appeared and I had to restart the whole system. Even after rebooting, same error occurred again. Can anyone help me with it? Is the problem regarding software or hardware?

I too am using Toshiba Qosmio x775-3dv80, but I never got this error. I can write data in DVD as well as Blu ray disc without any problem. I use Windows 7 pro. Which O.S. are you using? Maybe Toshiba Qosmio x775-3dv80 doesn’t work well with other O.S. The error described by you might also occur due to mismatch between driver and hardware. Try updating drivers and it might solve your problem.

I use Windows 7 Home edition. Maybe you are right, Toshiba Qosmio x775-3dv80 & Windows 7 home edition combo don’t work right. I updated the drivers but still it did not help. I compared the drivers used in Windows 7 home edition & Windows 7 Pro needed for operation of Blu ray disc. The conclusion of my research is that Windows 7 Home edition needs 2 drivers for operation of burning process of Blu ray disc, that are, (1) cdrom.sys (2) tdcmdpst.sys. While windows 7 Pro needs only one driver to burn Blu ray disk that is cdrom.sys.
Maybe I will try different Blu Ray disc burning application to know if DVDfab 8 has any problem in it.

You can show the problem to seller at Toshiba store. Maybe it is the faulty piece you have received. If nothing is working, this is should be your last resort.
