I purchased the Playstation Vita and I am exploring its contents. I want to decorate my device with some cool wallpaper. So I needed to know what should be the exact resolution of the pictures to make it fit perfectly in the display of PS Vita without any stretches, squashes or distortions. Which image format works best with it?

The display resolution of Playstation Vita is 960 x 544. This resolution is almost close to the aspect ratio of 16:9. For picture with perfect aspect ratio of 16:9, the resolution should be 960 x 540. This means pictures with resolution of 720p & 1080p can be easily used as wallpaper for PS Vita.

One can resize bigger images in desired resolution with help of image editing softwares like Photoshop. One can also create custom wallpapers using Photoshop.
