Sync / Restoring backup for iPhone and Outlook

I am starting this thread to ask that how do I synchronize my iPhone and Outlook with the help of the iTunes. I was doing that but I don’t know that what went wrong with that as the calendar on the iPhone as well as Outlook are wiped out. I am having the backup but when I restore that the also Outlook again make that empty after synchronizing. Can you guess that what can be the problem with this?

For the contacts, it will be very simple. You will simply have to setup iTunes to send them on our Google account. And talking regarding the calendar, it will synchronize with your Outlook calendar and then export it to CSV and after that you will finally able to reimport in Google Calendar.

This procedure is valid for Outlook 2007 for exporting contacts.. There might be some differences with Outlook 2003.
    1. Go into your Outlook calendar and then File -> Import and Export.
    2. Then choose Export to a file and click Next>.
    3. Select Comma Separated Value (Windows) and click Next>
    4. Choose what to export (in this case your calendar) and click Next>
    5. Now click the Browse button to select a location to save your calendar to CSV format. Then click Next.
    6. Finally click Finish.

Exporting the contact is just that you have the backup for the calendar. The important thing is to import that to the Google Calendar account and below are the steps to do that:
    1. Log into your Google Calendar and go to the settings of your account.
    2. Visit the Calendars tab and click the Import Calendar.
    3. Click Browse and find the file. Csv file that you have created.
    4. Choose in which the events calendar import and click Import.

Is this problem happened after the update. There are many of the similar cases where it happens after the update. For this, just reset the settings to the default and after that you will find all the things working without any problem. Don’t worry; you will not lose any of the data from it.

    Hi,

You may want to try the iPhone Backup Extractor tool to check your backup and see if it has the calendar file you are referring to. Once extracted, you can now import the file to your Google account as previously suggested, sync with Outlook and then finally sync with your iPhone. Hope this helps.
