Flashing ICS in Acer Iconia Tab A200

Guys have anyone tried with the flashing of the ICS in this particular tablet, do anyone of you have any knowledge about this thing then do let me know about it, that’s what I am saying here. I searched a lot in the internet about this and did not got any update. So whoever is willing to help me in this process can please share the news with me, that would be a great work for me, that’s all I can say here.

Ok for that you will be requiring the ICS rom by which you would be able to flash the tablet, until and unless you don’t have the ICS rom you will not be able to do any kind of flashing work at all, that’s what I want to say here. so do search for that rom which I don’t think so will be easily available for you in the internet, if you end up getting then the rest of the procedure is quite simple. So hope you did understand what I have said here and if you have anything else to ask then please do feel free to ask here.

Hi here is some help for you, so what you have to do is follow the steps that I am giving you here, I am sure it will work out for you.

1) First of all download this file from here
2) Rename that file.
3) Copy that particular file to the sd card.
4) Now keep pressing the volume button along wit the power button. Now keep holding them until the logo of acer appears.
5) Now the installation process will get started.
6) Ice Cream Sandwich is fully installed in your tablet.

This looks to me a interesting solution, you will not believe the amount of research that I had done and guess what I could not find any help from xda people as well. I will surely give a sure shot try for this. Hoping to get best results out of it.

When you say "rename that file", what do you mean? Should we rename it to what?
I've tried renaming it to update.zip but the process didn't work.

Instead of going with the manual way of upgrading Acer Iconia Tab A200 to ice cream sandwich why dont you perform an OTA update to Android 4.0.3.
This new firmware version comes to upgrade the Honeycomb 3.2 OS that comes pre-loaded on Iconia A200. It is already rolled all over the world and you can get it on your tablet without any issues.
