Is DDR3 1333mhz PC3-10666 memory compatible with Lenovo T410?

I bought a new Lenovo T410 thinkpad 1 week ago. it has an Intel Core i5 560M / 2.66 GHz processor. Now in order to increase my memory I purchased the memory pack Corsair 8GB 1333MHz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit yesterday. I am not sure whether this is compatible for my T410 laptop and that’s the reason I am scared and I am feeling like I did a mistake. Can anyone let me know whether this memory is suitable for my core i5 560 system? If not then please suggest me with some best memory I can get, or should I go for DDR3 PC-8500?

As according to me both 1066MHz and 1333MHz Ram are supportable for Lenovo T410. In fact it will work more efficiently and conveniently at with 1333MHz if compared with the existing 1066MHz.

You will never be confirmed until you try it by yourself, so instead of asking others if you have already bought the Ram then better try it and check the compatibility.

I hope I can give you the actual better and good answer which you are expecting. Even I have bought a new Corsair 8 GB 1333 MHz PC3-10666 CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 and also comfortably installed it into my Lenovo T410, the exact same model which you are having. It worked smoothly without any problem.

Other than this in my college too the retail whole sellers are selling out Lenovo X201, T410 and W510 along with the same Ram i.e. DDR3 PC-10600 1333MHz RAM. Now its obvious that if the whole seller themselves are selling the same Ram along with the Laptop then definitely they are doing it just because the things are compatible with each other.

For your kind information there has been already huge number of complains and problems reported regarding the compatible issues with both the Lenovo and Corsair Ram. Also I have read at many places that the manufacturer of Corsair is having some problem with the Ram. That’s the reason the percent of its return rate is 4% which is more than 0.2% of Kingston.

Also one of my friend recently installed Corsair 8 GB DOSIMM and guess what he started facing issue with the booting of the OS.
