    QT Support for Symbian phones

Symbian now got a support from the Qt framework. It is an integral part of Symbian platform. If you are going to buy a new Symbian Belle phones, you will see Qt as part of their firmware and some other phones have pre-installed Qt support. Phones which are running S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1 can get Qt support by the help of downloadable modules. You can easily add relevant modules by the use of Smart Installer. This will help you to verify the dependencies of Qt-based applications.

As far as I know that Qt in Symbian is extremely integrated to the OS features. The features may include graphics as well as file system. This integration feature helps you to increase the performance of Qt applications. Make sure that you are using the Qt under the free LGPL licensing option, if you are going to develop apps for Symbian phones and the Nokia N9. You have already known that Qt is cross-platform. That means Qt offers portability and inheritance feature.
