Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 won't connect 5GHz wifi Band

The problem is I cannot connect my Samsung Galaxy tab 7.7 with 5 GHz wifi Band. The tab does not able to get ip and connect to it. Sometimes it shows connected but the connection won’t work at all. It won’t open anything. My friend has a similar Tab and he too getting the same issue. The strange thing is tab works perfectly with 2.4 GHz band. What kind of issue is this?

Most WiFi devices only support the 2.4 GHz, even 802.11n. If you have a home WiFi network access point configured to use both channels simultaneously (if permitted), and devices that support the 5 GHz frequency use this, which is usually little busy and the other will go for 2. 4 GHz

The wireless chip supports the MCS with the index number 7, which is more than 65 or 72 Mbit / s means (depending on how the router sets the guard interval). This is the highest rate at 20 MHz channel bandwidth and a spatial stream. In this mode it transmits about 35 Mbit / s net. Multi-channel bandwidth and multiple spatial streams on mobile devices make no sense, because they exploit the bandwidth is not the one to the other and both can consume much more energy would be dissipated pointless.

Check for the following thing and see whether you can get anything out from it or not:
    • Have you tried out all the channels?
    • The box is a unique SSID?
    • If the MAC filter enabled?
    • Fixed IP addresses and DHCP tried?
    • Checks whether there are other wireless networks in range, and selected the least noisy channel?
    • Checks whether there are other interferers in the 2.4 or 5 GHz band (Bluetooth, microwave ovens, wireless AV transmitter)?
    • The WMM / IP-TV settings checked?
    • Encryption method tried (unencrypted)?

The spectrum of the antenna should be 2.4 GHz, because if you go with other then no one can recognize the device. Configures the router to the 2.4 GHz and see if it works properly or not.

Obviously there may be a problem in obtaining the IP address when the DHCP request from the tabs. It is rejected and the device would actually DHCP Discover request a new IP. Always try with one device first with DHCP request to get its old IP again, and only if that is rejected, it asks for a new DHCP Discover. The latter seems - from whatever reason - to fail. The cause is unclear.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 won't connect 5GHz wifi Band

The problem is in my view a failure of Samsung to see Android matching. If the Galaxy Tab connects to an access point for the first time, it creates configuration data, such as from the first IP connection used in a file called '/ data / misc / dhcp / dhcp_list'. On subsequent attempts to connect it apparently tried repeatedly to use the IP noted in the configuration file, even if it has changed at the remote station (in my case the repeater Fritz). The solution of the problem now is to delete this file. Unfortunately, this is not so easily possible, because this file is a system file that is protected from access by the normal user.

Make sure the wireless is enabled, and that MAC filtering is not enabled in its configuration. To connect to wifi, enter the encryption key. This one consists of a sequence of 26 characters & numbers of letters (A through F) in uppercase without spaces. If this didn’t help, try to configure everything from the scrap.

It is not normal to disconnect. Perhaps there is an incompatibility with your router. Try to set a fixed IP address. Also see whether the default settings configured in both router and well as TAB can makes them to connect each other or not. If there is no permission to the tablet in the wifi router, then you cannot connect. Set the permissions so that it can allow the connection to the tab. If nothing helps then Resetting the device is the only option left for you.
