How to open Xlsx files on iPad

There are lots of xlsx files on ipad. Xlsx files are Excel spread sheet files. There are several useful data stored in those files such as username and passwords, website links, contact number, address etc. The problem is I cannot open those files. Is there any software that will open xlsx files in ipad.

Does your ipad contain any kind of Office Suite? Does your tablet support the Xlsx file format? If there is no office suite installed in your then get quickoffice. As far as I know that both support the M$ Office 2007/2010 file formats.

You should download the Apple iWorks Office suite. This application suite contains a set of useful capabilities.

• Pages is compatible with Word and capable to read .doc and .docx files and also possible to save in .doc and .pdf
• Keynote is meant for PowerPoint and allow us to read .ppt and .pptx files and you can also save in .ppt and .pdf

Did you get the GoodReader from the Apple App Store? (it's $4.99 USD). By using this app you are not allow to edit the files but you can open and view .xls and .xlsx Excel files. It is not a great app but it is enough to simply read XlsX files.

Most of you might not know that, there is no such apps those are capable to edit spreadsheets on an iPad. Also there are no such apps which support all the features of Excel. So don’t expect that you lose some formatting while opening excels files in ipad. Even though if the any app opens the Xlsx sheets, you are not able to get charts, graphics, and certain advanced features.
