How to download 01.02.24 firmware in sansa e200v1

I have bought sandisk sansa e200v1 mp3 player and I have heard that sandisk has recently released the latest 01.02.24 firmware for sansa e200v1 but I don’t know from where and how to download the e200v1 01.02.24 firmware and also want some instruction for downloading the firmware, if anyone having the information regarding this issue then please help me.

You can easily download the latest 01.02.24 firmware for the Sansa e200v1 by following simple steps from the sansa firmware updater. first download the appropriate firmware version which you want from the firmware page and after downloading save the file to your desktop .
Now extract the .zip firmware file from your desktop and move it into a folder and remember where you have saved it. Then change the device mode on your player go to “setting” and then to “usb mode” and select “MSC”.
Now connect your device to the computer using the usb cable and it should show up with a drive letter and then in the root directory of sansa e200v1 add the firmware files that you have extracted from the zip.
Once the firmware files is added disconnect your device then it will say it is upgrading the firmware .it will automatically turn off once it is turn off turn it on and when you turn on the device it will ask for a language just select the language and after that verify the version you have upgraded is same as the latest version ,yo can verify this first go to setting >information and finally verify the “version”

I think you have to make note some instructions before downloading the latest 01.02.24 firmware , this firmware is available only for sansa version 1 and this new firmware has many bug fixes and key fixes. You also make sure that after the completion of the firmware upgrade the device will restart automatically and if the device doesn’t start then press and hold the power switch button for at least 12 sec to reset the device and then release the button press power button again to restart. After the firmware upgrade several other settings also changed back to the default state like custom EQ, backlight, date and time, volume, etc. so this is not a problem for you as you can easily change back to your preferred setting.
