ICC profile on Samsung Series 7 Chronos (NP700Z4 & NP700Z5)

The screen of Samsung Series 7 "Chronos" (NP700Z4 & NP700Z5) is more than decent but if you are looking for more sharp colors then you need to tweak to see the best display. However for that you need to have access to the screen color-calibration hardware such Spyder 3 or similar. You simply need to replace the ICC profile with the customized one. Then you can set the display for sharp images.

If you have already downloaded the ICC profile for some other source, Double click on that profile/ Right click and click Install Profile. Now you need to go to the Control Panel>Appearance and Personalization>Screen Resolution>Advanced Settings> Color Management. There is a checkbox in front saying “Use my settings for this device”. You must check it, then click add profile. Like this way you can add your own custom ICC profile and also do the hardware calibration.

I have tried to do the same by using the custom ICC profile which I have got from my friend. I wanted to get sharp images from laptop. Unluckily the ICC profile didn’t add any kind of custom settings to the color management. What could be the profile? How can I apply those custom settings to my device?

It seems to me like the problem is with your device only. May be the integrated graphics card causing the system to not do any kind of changes. To resolve the issue, you need to type msconfig.exe in the search bar or Run, then in the startup list, disable Intel igfxpers. Now reboot your laptop and once again add&apply the profile.

I believe that your laptop is switching to movie mode and due this you no longer able to see the changes. There is a unique process that is responsible for switching and that is MovieColorEnhancer.exe. To disable this, open the task scheduler and turn off startup of MovieColorEnhancer.exe
