Over scan is put to 0%.I try adding every mode plus setting the refresh rate as well as scale options for every which I read is thought to repair the problem however, it didn't work. perhaps I did it wrong?

I am have this similar issue just in crysis/crysis 2 on my 1080p HDTV. It sets the refresh rate as of 55 to 45 hz, so I obtain the black border.

I rectified after running CCC plus setting 1920x1080x 50 HZ, then open the scaling preference and rearrange that back to 0 manually. By default it was 15% or somewhat like that.

Each time, after you alter resolution/refresh rate plus put scaling preference, kill ccc.exe as well as mom.exe with task manager. that how I did it furthermore it saved them for every resolution/refresh rate

Vertical sync is for frame rates, it do not alter the refresh rate. No, the black borders don't wrap something; they just create the picture tinier. picture watching a widescreen movie on a full screen TV. familiar with those black bars at the top and bottom? similar stuff here, however on the sides as well.

it look as if that I moreover have to make use of directx 9 or else force the refresh rate which I haven't been doing well with. I estimate I am fool the game through 1920x1076 because that works with direct x 10. Not the perfect answer, expectantly ATI and the Crisis developers will appear into it in any case for Crysis 2

It seems that I yet have a great deal to knowledge to gain . Are frame rates as well as refresh rates not the similar stuff ? I see what you mean regarding the black borders. Well, one brief answer would be only to adjust your monitor setting until the black borders be outside of the screen . Not the ideal answer certainly, however good than nothing.

Try this to get rid of GPU scaling:
    • On the NVIDIA Control Panel go to the pane, under Screen , hit alter desktop size and position
    • Hit the picture that showing your screen
    • choose Do not scale, afterward hit Apply.

    Or if you have ATI:

    • choose the screen , "Digital Screen "
    • Go to feature
    • Select off "Enable GPU Scaling"
    • choose "Use centered timings"
    • hit "Apply" otherwise "OK"

    that it hope this helps

The M1730 has 16:10 screen and not make use of an ATI card, however uses an Nvidia SLI card. I must recommend updating Crysis to the newest version plus GPU to the newest drivers if you haven't prepared so and avoid to lower end 4:3 resolution which will reason the bars to come into view, SLI does not balance correctly with those settings as well as presentation to in fact, suffer then assist. Try using 1680x1050 in its place. That is a pace down from 1920x1200. I see no black bars on that resolution. , I've an M1730 plus had no cause to scale to lower than 1920x1200 resolutions in Crysis. but for you're using an 8700M GT SLI system, 1680x1050 + Medium setting system is more than sufficient to get full steady 30fps game play

I surprise what a GPU scaling alternative would do. allow the GPU scale the graphics. additional than that well there are technique to force the refresh as well as resolution Permanently by Windows registry or 3rd party filter, however that's not going to be simple way .
