Why Xperia S not named with the Sony Ericsson

While going t5hrought the Sony Xperia S smartphone, I found that the features and the specs are just fine but one thing I’m not getting is why the name of the Xperia S is not named with the Sony Ericcson. As I have seen on all other phones they have got the name Sony Ericcson then why not on this one.

I have recently bought the Smartphone but I’m wondering why there is no sign of Ericcson name on the phone. As I have read in one of the article that Sony is going to be a sole company and will no more work jointly with the Ericcson. So is the news about this correct or it is only for some phones.

Yeh …whatever you have read in the article is right. Sony has owned 50% stake in the Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson. So now Sony will be making the Smartphones with the name of the Sony itself and not with the joint name of Sony Ericcson.

But they are gonna work jointly on other devices like the wireless connectivity and many other devices.

I don’t know what may be the outcome of the devices after Sony and Ericcson pact going off, as still now they have been producing some good phones and were really worth.
